Literacy Enrichment Day!

As part of our Literacy Enrichment Day on Wednesday, we looked at the story Handa’s Surprise.

Physical Literacy!

Physical Literacy club started this week for all year 1 and 2 pupils with Mrs Fielding in the gym.

We have been practicing some new balancing positions and then playing games to refine our balancing techniques!

Hop ‘It’ Game!

Researching Facts about Wolves!

This week the children have been busy developing their reading skills using non-fiction books and the Internet to research facts about wolves.

They will use their research next week to write their reports about wolves.

Volunteers!

Many thanks for your support with volunteering to help with swimming for Dosbarth Eryr and Dosbarth Gwennol.  Without this valued support we would not be able to commit to weekly swimming lessons.

I am also looking for volunteers to help listen to readers in Dosbarth Gwennol.

If you are interested, please see myself, Mrs Fielding for more information.

Thanks

Mrs Fielding

Welcome back after the Summer holidays!

Important things to remember

Please label all of your child’s clothes – uniform, coats, P.E. kits, book bags and wellies.

Every day:   Home readers Book which will contain your child’s HWB password

A water bottle, filled with water only.

A piece of fruit as a morning snack

Monday Maths homework handed in

Tuesday: P.E kit/spellings/home readers changed

Thursday: Swimming kit/home readers changed

Friday Maths homework sent home

As September is often warm and sunny, please can you ensure your child has sun cream and a sunhat in school as they will be working outside during the day.

Parental Support

Please could you read with your child as regularly as possible and write a comment in their yellow book so that we know that your child has read at home.

If you are able to help with our swimming sessions on a Thursday afternoon or would like to come in and hear readers this would be greatly appreciated. Please speak to Sarah in the office or your child’s class teacher.

If there is anything you would like to discuss with us then please feel free to make an appointment at the office. We are always happy to help.

Thank you for your support.
