The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

We have thoroughly enjoyed reading The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Although the ending was really sad, we were all really enthusiastic about discovering why something like this had happened. We had a great discussion, and as the Holocaust was something we wanted to find out more about, we researched lots of information on a website.

To make our story even better, we’ve been learning how to use show not tell sentences and using loads of impressive adjectives to describe the different settings.

Separating Materials

Blwyddyn 4, were set the task of separating materials that had all mixed together, after an explosion nearby a corner shop in London. They used magnets, sieves and colanders to extract the different materials. They all said how much fun they had and how messy it was!
