Eco warrior egg competition

Da iawn to the children for their wonderful creations. It was hard to judge as they all looked great and it was clear that a lot of effort had gone into creating them.

Homework

As part of their homework Year five and six have created castles out of recycled materials.

The River Project.

Year six pupils had the opportunity to take part in a new project by the river. They carried out various activities and built a beaver den.

Orienteering.

Year five and six had a go at a simple orienteering task. They went outside to look for letters on the field. They marked this on their maps and then came back inside to work out the coordinates and then worked out the word.
It was a challenging activity- particularly when it started to rain and their maps got wet!

Cross Country

Well done to all the children who took part in the cross country at Bedstone. It was tough but they all put in 100% effort and it was a great day!

UK Parliament Assembly

We were visited by Claire Dare this afternoon. She came in to tell us about how parliament works and we even had a go at passing a law of our own! It was great fun and we were able to learn a lot.

Jigsaw

As part of Jigsaw this week the children were discussing jobs and professions and ranked them in order of what they thought were the most important.
We also discussed salaries and played a game of guess the profession charades.

Sports Club for R/1.

Isaac and Esme, who are Bronze Sports Ambassadors, have set up a sports club at lunch time for the other classes. Today’s class was with Reception and Year 1. Da iawn Isaac and Esme!
