Cardiff trip _ Trip Caerdydd

Aethon ni i Gaerdydd. Aethon ni i Big Pit, St. Fagan’s, ar y speedboat, i’r Senedd, bowlio-deg, Techniquest ac Aberfan Memorial Garden.

We learned about the history of Wales. Some of us stayed away from home for the first time. We had to organise ourselves and our belongings. We had to share a room with other people. We persevered even when something was tough or tiring. Some of us had to be brave.

Caswon ni lawer o hwyl. We had lots of fun and the behaviour of our pupils was excellent!

A huge ‘thank you’ goes to each of the following for their generous donations: the Blakemore Foundation for their contribution towards our visit to Techniquest, to the Senedd for a grant towards our travel costs and to our Friends of School committee who enabled us to enjoy the speedboat! Diolch yn fawr iawn!

Spring play

Here are a few snaps from our Spring play, which our pupils wrote. It was based on Georgeโ€™s Marvellous Medicine with a hint of Matilda. The pupils created their own checklist of everything that needed to be completed in order to answer the question โ€˜What will it take to be ready for a theatrical performance?โ€™

We think they were definitely ready, we hope you did tooโ€ฆ!

Forest School

This term it is Aderyn duโ€™s turn to develop various skills during Forest School sessions. They were much luckier with the weatherโ€ฆ!

School Values

Work with Jody, from Stoneglass Windows, has started on our school mosaic, which has been funded by a grant from the Church Mission Fund. Each class created a design based on our school values, and Jody has collated them into one whole-school design. Our value was compassion.

Cwis Dim Clem

Today our group competed in the semi-final of Cwis Dim Clem. Despite only having 2 members of the team they scored the same as their opponents. Unfortunately we lost on the tie-breaker question. Da iawn merched, ymdrech bendigedig!

Cwis Dim Clem

Our group won the second round and are through to the next round! Llongyfarchiadau!
