Habitats

In Science, we have been learning about the life processes and habitats. We decided to create our own micro habitats in our school garden.

Eco Council 2023-2024

Meet our new eco council 2023-2024!

We have found out that after our recent Eco renewal inspection, we have achieved our renewal for Platinum Award Eco Schools. We are all very happy about this and want to say a big thankyou to everyone for their hard work.

Gardening

We have enjoyed gardening with Tom from the Community Garden and we look forward to sampling some of the vegetables in the Autumn.

Eco Assembly

Tom from the Community Centre kindly came into talk to the children about growing their own vegetables. We are hopefully going to start planting our own vegetables at school, working with Tom. The Eco Council then took Tom for a tour around the school, looking at potential spaces to create a planting patch.

Healthy Snacks

Our healthy schools council have been busy handing out stickers to children who have been eating a healthy snack on Monday and Friday playtimes! Well done to our healthy eaters!

Tree planting

Cnoc-y-coed planted trees on the school ground showing a commitment to the sustainability of the planet.

Junk Modelling

Captain Green wanted us to ‘use things again’. So, in groups, we created models using junk materials.
