Mindfulness mandala drawing and creativity and some baking with Y4 and Y6- As part of our RVE work on Buddhism this half term! We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and the biscuits were very tasty!
Caerdydd 2025!
Year 6 enjoyed a busy 3 days exploring Cardiff and some surrounding areas. We learned about some of the history of Wales, about our parliament and had some fun down on the bay too! Diolch to all of our hosts and to our Friends of School and The Blakemore Foundation who both made contributions towards our school trip.

Protecting Yourself and Others from Scams Online
Today, the school E-safety Committee, along with Mrs Blower, led an assembly to introduce Internet Safety day. The focus is protecting yourself and others from online scams. We discussed what a scam is and what you should do if you think you are being scammed.

A place of Sanctuary
During Assembly on Monday we celebrated being appraised as a School of Sanctuary. Members of the appraisal team commented “It was such a pleasure to spend time with your pupils and hear about their learning. They are an absolute credit to you and clearly demonstrate what a warm and welcoming place Knighton School is”. They also added “Pupil voice in school is clearly very well embedded through your variety of councils and they feel empowered to make changes.” We are all very proud.
Dydd Santes Dwynwen Hapus
Some of our Year 6 pupils gave out some origami hearts (calon) to our parents to wish them a ‘Dydd Santes Dwynwen Hapus’.
St David’s Day celebration practise
Today Judith volunteered her time to help some of our pupils who will be helping to celebrate St David’s day in the community on Sunday 2nd March. They learned a song and began a Twmpath to the tune of ‘Mi welais Jac y do’. They were fantastic, da iawn bawb!

We have been listening to the story of Santes Dwynwen. We made some origami hearts to spread the love. We watched the video on mute and had the instructions in Welsh…!
