We took part in a music session with Jim, did some gardening and played games with the parachute.
Clay
We had to plan our artefacts, based on the research we have completed. Next we had to calculate how much clay each pupil could have.
“Ew, I don’t like the feeling of this clay!”
“It’s a bit like Bake Off, isn’t it?!”
“I didn’t realise we could smooth it with our hands!”
Stop-frame animation
Cnoc y coed have been working towards creating a stop-frame animation about drovers. They started by creating a story board, then moulded characters out of plasticine. They are using artwork they have previously created as backgrounds for their museum exhibit.
It’s pain-staking work…you need approximately 120 photos for a 10 second film! They have also written a script for the film; we’re hoping we can merge them with the film, that might be a little optimistic- we’ll see!

Aloo Gobi!
Today we watched an ‘extra’ from the film ‘Bend it Like Beckham’. The director of the film was making Aloo Gobi with her family. We used this to make our own Aloo Gobi, chapati and cucumber raita with Mrs Strong and Miss Jeakings. The class worked really well with the ingredients and utensils, and almost every bit of the food was devoured.
Watch this space for our own version of the recipes!
A 'Tap to tidy' of the playground!
Year 4 have engaged in a little mindfulness in trying to improve the appearance of our playground, and have planted some more seeds in the extra plant pots- we just need to be patient now!
