Churchyards and burial grounds are very important places for Lichens. Many burial grounds have well over 100 species of Lichen in them. In our groups we looked at how many different types we could find and where we found them.
Our archaeologists have been wanting to find out more about the mummification process. In groups they made mummies using the materials provided and they looked at the key stages involved in the process.
Year 2 and 3 have been looking at forces and magnets in Science. They carried out an investigation to test the amount of friction on different surfaces.
We worked hard to follow instructions and create some bots on some new Lego coding kits. We found this hard work ,but great perseverance and problem solving skills were demonstrated!
Children in Years 2 and 3 have started their Eco-Church Project as part of their RVE work. They visited St. Edward’s Church and explored all of the mini-beasts that call the Church grounds their home.
We had a fantastic day as year 3, 4, 5, and 6 pupils took part in the Powys school cross country. Every pupil gave 100% on a very long and difficult course!
