As part of our outdoor learning, we looked at what trees we have on our school grounds!

As part of our Mantle, we went over to Brynny to measure the area and perimeter of the field. We used trundle wheels!

Our Mantle of the Expert theme this term is Rollercoasters. After completing graphs with survey results for the Knighton town council based on attractions around Knighton, rollercoasters was the favourite. The children were then sent a video by Knighton Town Council explaining that they need their help to design a rollercoaster to attract tourism in the area.
Here are some of the children’s ideas about what they would like to learn and find out about rollercoasters.
Algorithms!
As part of the museum’s guide book in our Mantle of the Expert, we were challenged to create simple algorithms to guide Beebots around the tomb of Tutankhamun.
Science/ Gwyddoniaeth
Year 2 and 3 have been looking at forces and magnets in Science. They carried out an investigation to test the amount of friction on different surfaces.
DCF!
We worked hard to follow instructions and create some bots on some new Lego coding kits. We found this hard work ,but great perseverance and problem solving skills were demonstrated!
Earth Artwork!
Year 2 and 3 have worked hard to create a piece of artwork depicting one of the Elements, Earth. Da iawn pawb!
