As part of our Mantle, we have been looking at deforestation. We decided to paint some trees on stones after looking at how important it was to save our trees!

Mini bug hotels!
After deciding we need to increase the biodiversity on the school field, we have decided to make some mini bug hotels to place in our forest school/woodland area whilst we wait for donations to make a bigger bug hotel.
Music Mondays!/ Cerddoriaeth
We had the pleasure of joining Musical Mondays which was organised by County and was a live stream of a brass band Trio. They played a range of music which the children enjoyed, and the children also practised some conducting. Da iawn pawb!
Eisteddfodd!
As part of our Eisteddfodd we decorated some biscuits. We used icing pens to create a design in a Welsh theme. Bendigedig pawb!
Valentines Day/ Cariad!
We went outside and cut some sticks, we then used these to create a heart shape and wrapped wool around to make a valentines heart! Everyone enjoyed, and tried hard. Da iawn pawb!
World Book Day !
We watched a live lesson from Giglets, looking at the story ‘The Magic Paintbrush’. We then went outside in the sunshine and shared some of our books with younger children in the school!
Chinese New Year!
We learnt about Chinese New Year and how it is celebrated. We created these snakes, as it is the ‘Year of the Snake’.
Outdoor Learning!
We took our digital coding skills outdoors and created a maze/track for our classmates to use coding instructions and lead each other around the maze with their eyes closed! We used instructions like, ‘turn 90degrees right’ ‘take 3 small steps forward’. We looked at the importance of detailed instructions.
Well-being Day!
Year 2,3 and 4 enjoyed some outdoor learning as part of our well-being day. They created a ‘crazy golf’ course out of natural resources and had lots of fun playing together! Da iawn pawb!
Showing support to our Farmers!
Wear wellies to school day! This was to show support to our local farmers! No farmers, No food!
