A little Visitor

We love having Rupert visit us. We all sit really quietly and calmly so that we don’t scare him. He is really friendly.

Diogelwch Tân

We were joined by Angela today from Mid West Wales Fire Brigade. Angela is a fire safety officer. She talked to us about the types of fire, fire hazards and she read us a story about a dragon called Sbarc with an important message “Don’t touch, tell!” The story was about the danger of touching lighters and matches.

Making ten

In maths we have been making ten and trying really hard to learn these really important number bonds to ten.

Dewis eich plot

We thought about where in Knighton would be a good place to build a rollercoaster. We looked at maps and discussed some of the features in different locations.

Some rollercoasters have to fit in between other rides at the theme park and some are build around things that can’t be moved.

Refugee Away Day

On Saturday 14th September we hosted an Away Day. The day involved 43 refugees from all over the world currently residing in Knighton visiting our School where they were greeted with refreshments and a hot meal. Volunteers from KDRSG provided delicious cakes and they arranged a range of activities including origami, pottery and jewellery making. There was guided tours around Knighton and live music. It was a fabulous day!

'A Glint of Gold'

We are so proud of our budding young performers and how they were able to convey all of their knowledge of the ancient Egyptian Gods, Kings and way of live to the stage in their recent production of ‘A Glint of Gold’. The play is about the dramatic discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb.
